Love how ceramic and stone tile look, but dread the cold surface underfoot? Tired of grout maintenance, cracked tiles or the expense of natural stone? If you want the look without the drawbacks, consider luxury vinyl tile (LVT) that provides the added benefits of waterproof protection, comfortable warmth and easy maintenance.
Here are the benefits of buying luxury vinyl tile from us:
Choosing vinyl flooring for moisture-prone areas in a coastal home means choosing flooring materials that handle water while looking amazing. Traditional tile is beautiful, but cold and hard underfoot. On top of that, grout cleaning and installation costs add up. Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) looks similar, while providing comfort, warmth and waterproof performance. Check the LVT collections from Savi Flooring & Tile in our Santa Rosa Beach, FL, flooring retail store. Our team will help you explore patterns, sizes and finishes that match your vision so you get quality flooring every time. Visit our showroom today!
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is a multi-layer flooring product. It has a photographic layer that replicates stone, marble, ceramic or concrete aesthetics down to the textures and grout line details. There’s also a waterproof core made from WPC (wood plastic composite) or SPC (stone plastic composite) that offers moisture resistance and dimensional stability. It easily installs using glue-down or floating methods. The protective wear layer withstands scratches and stains, while maintaining the tile aesthetic.
If you’re after a tile look, but want better performance, LVT is the way to go. It offers several advantages for your coastal home. Here’s why homeowners are continually choosing LVT:
Modern LVT makes it hard to tell the difference between this product and marble, travertine, slate, ceramic, porcelain or even concrete tile. Advanced printing captures everything, including natural color variations, veining patterns and other characteristics.
Luxury vinyl tiles have a waterproof core. That makes them perfect for bathrooms, kitchens and other moisture-prone areas. Meanwhile, water penetrates the grout lines of other tiles, damaging the subfloors. Other options require sealing. Spills, splashes, humidity and standing water aren’t problems.
Traditional tile is cold underfoot, especially Florida homes with the AC cranked. Waterproof luxury vinyl tile is cushioned and feels warmer and softer on bare feet. It reduces fatigue when standing for long periods and dampens sound transmission between floors.
LVT looks like it has grout lines, but it doesn’t. The surface is continuous and non-porous so you don’t have to clean any grout lines. That’s right—no scrubbing, no sealing and no mildew concerns. Keep your flooring in top shape with a simple sweep and mop.
Each tile has a protective wear layer that keeps your flooring safe from scratches, scuffs and stains. Dropped objects won’t crack or scratch quality LVT either. The durability makes it ideal for busy homes, people with pets or vacation rental properties.

The flooring contractors from Savi Flooring & Tile bring design expertise and technical knowledge to each vinyl installation project. We know how to help homeowners get the look they’re after with better performance. Alongside our experience installing flooring throughout Santa Rosa Beach, Destin and the 30A region, here’s why homeowners turn to us:
Choosing between traditional tile and LVT isn’t easy. We show both options, honestly explain the difference and help you choose flooring for your lifestyle needs and design vision.
LVT installation requires skill to achieve pattern alignment, consistent reveals and clean transitions around fixtures and doorways. We take care of subfloor prep, layout planning and precise placement.
We carry LVT options. Budget-friendly options are available in stock from the Savi Basics program. Higher-end flooring is also available if you’re more inspired by marble or modern concrete aesthetics.
Our flooring contractors explain when traditional tile makes more sense and when LVT comes out on top. Our recommendations are based on what works for you, not what makes the biggest sale.
EXCELLENT Based on 51 reviews Posted on Michelle Perry BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lexi was absolutely amazing to work with. She helped us select the perfect tiles for our bathroom and laundry room, and somehow made the entire process feel easy—even during a holiday renovation with toddlers at home. She was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly organized, helping us coordinate timing and deliveries so everything stayed on track. Her eye for design and understanding of real-life logistics made such a difference. When I first stopped in, I was only planning to choose tile for a couple of bathrooms in our renovation. After such a great experience with Lexi, we ended up doing all of the flooring on our main level, plus our kitchen backsplash, and I’m already planning to go back soon for walk-in pantry tile. Lexi made the entire process so easy. I told her the style of our home and the color palette we were going for and showed a few inspiration photos. She immediately pulled several thoughtful options for each space, and we narrowed things down room by room together. Her design eye and product knowledge are incredible. I also loved being able to bring samples home, and she even came by to give her opinion on our wood flooring choices when everything started looking too similar to my eyes. That made such a difference. The installation team was also wonderful. Our hardwood floors turned out absolutely beautiful and the crew went above and beyond. Lexi truly made this renovation experience special. I don’t think it would have turned out the same without her guidance and support. 12/10 recommend. Already planning my next project and will be back again soon!Posted on Lee HensleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An impromptu visit to SAVI Flooring and Tile last spring was the best decision! Our design consultant Lexi gave us expert advice in choosing the best wood flooring, bath and kitchen tiling for our new home style. She provided exceptional service during the entire process, from selection to installation, and was a key reason we chose SAVI for our flooring and tile needs. I live out of state and have a rental in the Watersound West subdivision. We needed carpet laid but didn't have the flexibility in our schedule to make the trip to FL to coordinate choosing or the installation of the carpet. Lexi was my goto person at Savi. She made choosing and working through the installation easy. We are very grateful for everyone at Savi that had a part to play in our transaction.Posted on Mackenzie CappsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve had nothing but a wonderful experience with Savi Flooring & Tile! Working with Lexi has been absolutely amazing—she’s been an invaluable part of our renovation journey. She helped us select the most beautiful flooring for our home and guided us through choosing the perfect tile for our son’s bathroom. The selections at Savi are exceptional, and the showroom is stunning. Lexi truly goes above and beyond. She is warm, accommodating, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We’re so excited to continue working with her as we move forward with more renovations. Thank you, Savi, and thank you, Lexi—you’re simply the best!Posted on Kelsey StroopTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Savi, and especially Lexi, was such a great experience. Not only do they have great products, but they provide excellent customer service. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing tile & flooring!
Do you have any Question?
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) looks like stone, marble, ceramic or concrete tiles and are available in square and rectangular formats. Meanwhile, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) resembles hardwood flooring. Both have tough wear layers and waterproof cores. The layered construction is nearly identical.
Although waterproof, LVT is not recommended for shower walls or areas with direct water spray. Use traditional tile and waterproofing in these spaces.
LVT is warmer and softer underfoot than ceramic or stone tile. It’s lighter and resilient. Additionally, embossed textures let it mimic the look and feel of its higher-end counterparts.
Regular sweeping or vacuuming takes care of dirt and debris. Damp mopping with pH-neutral cleaners takes care of deeper cleaning.
